I Heart Faces- Anything but a Face

GAH!!! What a fun topic! So hard to pick and choose for this one because of all the creative and artsy things one can do with extremities or surroundings, but for this weeks challenge... This week I'm posting an image that has a huge amount of significance for me:

I did this session for a wife who's husband is overseas in Iraq right now. I'm a photographer for Operation Love: ReUnited, and our goal is to show the support and love to our troops who are away from home. Each session is supposed to symbolize the love and support the families back at home are giving to their soldier and this image is the embodiment of that I believe. Beautiful and graceful, a wife clings to her soldiers identity. The focus is on him... so far away.. and yet near.

May we never forget and always show our thankfulness to those who give us freedom and security!

New Hair Love

Well, today was a big day for me! Had my hair appt today, and I wasn't sure what I was gonna do with it as far as style or colour. Now I trust my hair-dresser with my life! so I told her to just do what she thought was necessary to give me that edgy chic look for WPPI Vegas next week. Here's the outcome!

I don't know about ya'll, but I love it! I can't wait to hit Vegas with my new style! And along with a great new hair cut and colour, I signed my first set of Wall Art Gallery Matte's today! I'll have a 6 month Wall Gallery at Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT starting this Friday. =) What a great day!

I'm going to try to be much better about keeping up with this. I've said it a couple of times already, but this past week I've been down with the worst cold of my life (seriously!) so I've been trying to get better from that!

Hope everyone enjoys their Special Sweetheart day! <3's

MCP Project 52: 4/52 Soothing Repetition

This idea came from the fact that my husband and I need "white noise" to go to sleep. So every night, no matter how cold it is outside, our bedroom fan is going. Soothing us to sleep.

Project 52: Week 3

Starting off this week will be my Project 52: week 3- Shades of Gray

As many of you know, I love B&W images above all others. If I had my choice, almost all pictures would be B&W. Not because I don't like colour, but more-so because with B&W's you have to see the story in the image. You don't get lost in a sea of flashy colours, but rather, you actually stop to look and see who or what is making up the image. Your imagination goes to work and you FEEL the depth of what your looking at.

So when MCP Project 52 put Shades of Gray as our theme, I was super excited. Here's what I came up with:

While working on that, I took some personal time to photograph some things that brighten up my day.... with a little vintage grace and colour. *puffy hearts*
