MCP Project 52: 4/52 Soothing Repetition

This idea came from the fact that my husband and I need "white noise" to go to sleep. So every night, no matter how cold it is outside, our bedroom fan is going. Soothing us to sleep.

Be looking for goodness this week! I've managed to wrangle myself into not 1, but 4 project 52's! o.O Extreme? Yes... but fun and its gonna make me GROW! I'm loving it!

And, I'm going to WPPI in Vegas! Gracious peeps that they are, HB Packaging, gave away 10 full registrations to WPPI and I was one of them along with two of my friends, Stephanie of Stephanie Newbold Photography & Kristie of Kristilynn Photography! I'm so excited to learn and come home with fresh and new ideas. Full of life and hopefully alot of somethings that Montana hasn't seen yet! =D

Project 52: Week 3

Starting off this week will be my Project 52: week 3- Shades of Gray

As many of you know, I love B&W images above all others. If I had my choice, almost all pictures would be B&W. Not because I don't like colour, but more-so because with B&W's you have to see the story in the image. You don't get lost in a sea of flashy colours, but rather, you actually stop to look and see who or what is making up the image. Your imagination goes to work and you FEEL the depth of what your looking at.

So when MCP Project 52 put Shades of Gray as our theme, I was super excited. Here's what I came up with:

While working on that, I took some personal time to photograph some things that brighten up my day.... with a little vintage grace and colour. *puffy hearts*

New Look and a year full of New Adventures!

It's been my goal all along this year to change it up! Do more new things, make some improving changes, and well... thought the blog would be a fun place to start.

Don't get me wrong. It's a far cry from being completed, but I'm already excited about its new look!

You'll be seeing alot more posts too. I'm part of the MCP Action Project 52 as I'm sure you've already noticed, and also 52 weeks of me. haha! Self Portraits for the win! =)

Abuse and Violence awareness has really been on mind this week. Its everywhere. It's like half of the world has gone mad and they think that beatings and killing will solve their problem! We need to be aware, be active, pray. Form groups for support and just do what we can for our loved ones and those we don't even know yet.

Project 52: Week 1

Week 1 Challenge: Something in the house



A beautiful snowglobe from when my husband and I went to Disneyland on our 1st year anniversary and helped to celebrate Dinseylands 50th anniversary.

I Heart Faces- Best of 2010

Another year come and gone and when looking back, I would say it has been successful. I've had alot of growing pains and alot more growing joys. I have loved meeting so many new and wonderful people this year, and the group at I Heart Faces is one of them!

This weeks contest is the best of. Wow... sooo incredibly hard to choose. Not because I feel my work is so spectacular, but because each individual session was special making certain images pull on my heart stings.

But this is the image I chose. Bubba is sweet little boy with Downs Syndrome. His heart is as big as the sea and his interest in life should be an inspiration to us all.
