Lil Butterfly!

What a sweetness this little one is! Getting ready to celebrate her first birthday made these pictures a special treat! We were very lucky during this session because the rain kept trying to come, but it held off long enough to get the perfect shots! Happy Birthday Gracie!

Sweet lil butterfly, how do you fly! On wings of promises, found in the sky.

Catching up!

So, lots has been going on for us! and there is LOTS to catch up on! Between my site and facebook, I've got to admit, my poor blog has taken the backseat. =( Poor thing. Well this should make it happy!

I'm in the process of enjoying Nichole Van's Workshop in a Box. I already feel its making a difference, and I've only read 2 chapters! I <3 her stuff! She is nothing shy of amazing, and I hope to be half as good as her here sooner than later! =D Here's a small sample of the product of what I'm learning.

Use of correct lighting and aperture, with a lil flare of some couture creativity in there!

And an exciting note for VioletRay Photography!, I'm now a member of OperationLove: ReUnited! A service that photographers perform for our servicemen as they are being deployed on their tours. Check it out at: www.oplove.org for more details!

Happy New Year! I can't believe how fast January has gone by. It's been crazy busy here for me. Started off my New Year by taking my sister's wedding pictures as well as being a part of the wedding at the Matron of Honor. I'm proud to have done her pictures. She was a lovely bride and she did a beautiful job picking and setting up decorations for her New Years Wedding. Here's a glimps:

As well as doing my sister's wedding, I have had the pleasure of capturing the cuteness of baby Elise. She's an adorable 4 month old whose blue eyes show only wonderment and beauty. Such sweetness in a precious bundle. She was such a joy to photograph only getting slightly cross once when we thought about doing some pictures while she was on her tummy.

Catching up...

Hey everyone. Sorry its been so long since I've updated this. It's hard to keep up with one's self during the Christmas season, and it seems that my poor lil blog took the brunt of it.

But, old year behind us, new year before us... lots of changes happening and most of them quite exciting. =)

December was a good month for me. Lots of opportunity to take precious memories and turn them into a Christmas card so that it could be shared by all.

Here's as look at what December held for me:

This past Monday was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect day to be out and about. Kolby had Senior Pictures done, and we made use of the the beautiful Clark Fork River and the old train station. The sun cast a beautiful hue on the water, and Kolby's dog, Duke was all about playing in it!

After senior pictures, I ventured out to Bonner to do family pictures for my dear friends, Jessie and Austin. What a beautiful family! The pictures speak for themselves really. =)
